Food......feeding the masses

It is hard to believe that a little over a year ago the Orphans at our Orphanage Of Hope

were surviving on half a bowl of tasteless, non-nutritious maize porridge a day!

Fast forward and we now have access to a number of plots of land plus our own banana plantation that gives the children both excellent food, but also increases their immunity to disease.

The wet season normally finishes around May, so we are always needing to plan the food supplies for the dry season when planting is not possible.

Added to the planting is the need to weed as well as apply pesticides, staking ... all

carried out by ladies who we pay for doing an amazingly good job.
